History Bowl Study
Practice with National History Bowl regional packets. Tossups are read one word at a time, hardest clue first. Buzz as soon as you know it, type the answer, then turn any clue you missed into a flashcard. The earlier you buzz right, the better.

Tossup
Answer
Card a clue
Tap any sentence to make it a flashcard. The marker shows where you buzzed.
Match simulator
A full regional match against the computer: ten short tossups, then eight longer ones with a 10-point bonus for each you get, then the lightning round (the team behind at halftime picks the category first; 60 seconds, 8 questions, 20 extra for all 8; misses bounce to the other side), then eight long tossups worth 30, 20 or 10 by how early you buzz. No penalties for wrong answers. A tie goes to sudden-death tossups.
Regional matches use the packet's original four quarters, including paired bonuses and lightning categories. Unlock the packets in Question settings. If you choose QB Reader instead, the first two quarters use shortened tossups.

Stats
Kept in this browser only. Buzz point is how much of the question you had heard when you buzzed and got it right: lower is earlier. Era and region are estimated from the dates and places in each question.

About
Built for my Rho Kappa team's practice. The National History Bowl is run by International Academic Competitions; this page is not affiliated with them.
Regional questions come from the A, B and C sets in IAC's past History Bowl packets, available here with the team passcode. Optional extra practice comes from QB Reader. Each question shows its source. Answers are checked with QB Reader's checker, or a simpler one built in here when that is out of reach, and you can always overrule it.
